| Equestrian Qualifications GB
Limited (EQL) is a subsidiary company of the British Horse Society but
stands alone in its remit to award equestrian qualifications to the same
exacting standards as the former Awarding Body of the British Horse
Society. Apart from the new Awarding Body name, all systems, procedures,
quality assurance - and the staff from the BHS Examinations Office -
remain the same.

| EQL is an Awarding Body accredited
by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority and as such must comply
with a range of criteria, including robust assurance for developing and
awarding qualifications.

| Over recent months the British
Horse Society has re-branded its qualifications under the new Awarding
Body name. You will notice, for instance, that the prefix for the Awarding
Body has changed from BHS to EQL and most of the certificates that we
award are also pre-fixed with EQL. The BHS logo still appears on the
certificates but not as prominently as before. In effect, EQL is awarding
qualifications on behalf of the British Horse Society.

| EQL will also award the new
Coaching Certificates on behalf of the British Equestrian Federation. We
will continue to award Scottish and National Vocational Qualifications.

| The name change and re-brand
provides a clear division between BHS and the Awarding Body.

| All certificates previously awarded
in the name of the British Horse Society will be exactly the
same as the certificates awarded under EQL. They will be assessed and
awarded in exactly the same way and will still carry the same level of
recognition, both nationally and internationally. There will be no
difference whatsoever, other than the change of Awarding Body
name. |
